Niger Delta Avengers end ceasefire, bomb oil pipeline in Bonny

Militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, have ended their ceasefire as the group attacked the Bonny 48 inches crude oil Export Line yesterday evening at about 8.40pm. The group announced the new attack on its website. Read the statement below On the 23rd September 2016, our strike team at 20:40PM hours time has brought down oil productions activities at the Bonny 48 inches crude oil Export Line.

This action is a signature to the over dramatization of the so-called dialogue and negotiation process on the side of President Muhammadu Buhari and his government. Since, the cessation of hostilities and the commitment of the PAN Niger Delta Elders and stakeholders team, the Nigerian government and her agents are turning the expectations of the Niger Delta to shameful scenes obtainable in Nollywood acts and as well intimidations, blackmails and continuous profiling of Niger Delta sons and daughters.

This is only a wake up call; we may not have other way to say it better. We are still in favour of the dialogue and negotiations but we are warning against " the peace of our time!

We want the peace with honour”. We will resist all actions undermining the ceasefire from side of the government and it security agents/ agencies. The world is watching, time is running against the Nigerian state; while we were promised that the concerns of Niger Delta will be addresses once a truce is declared, the activities of the government and her agents are not assuring enough, there has been no progress and no breakthrough.

We cannot be continuously fooled, the government cannot justify the indiscriminate targeting of Niger Delta youths while glorifying on these victimization of law abiding citizens of the region

Treachery! Military Officers Aligned, Collaborated With Boko Haram

A report from the Nigeria Army on Thursday, September 1, has confirmed that some military officials betrayed the country through their treacherous act. They were selling arms and ammunition to Boko Haram.

According to the theatre commander, Operation Lafia Dole, Major General Lucky Irabor, who disclosed the information to reporters in Yola, the suspected officers were already facing a court-martial.

The Commander who had visited Adamawa State to inspect newly acquired warplanes to be used in fight against the Islamist sect, said military operations would continue until the terrorists is completely wiped out of the country.

“There is no going back in the fight against terrorism in the northeastern region of the country. We are going to continue heavy attacks in Sambisa Forest and other areas Boko Haram are occupying until they are completely cleared from the zone,”he said.

Irabor acknowledge there are still towns in Borno State under control of the sect, but he assured there is no local government totally under Boko Haram’s control.

“They are hiding in few towns. But very soon, we will recapture them,”he said.

He described a recent video showing girls abducted from Chibok town by Boko Haram as fake and insisted that the clip was the product of a desperate and fading terrorist group, struggling to prove it is still active, quote,“The video is an evidence of defeat and the mental torture Boko Haram is suffering,”he said.

The military have gradually advanced its intelligence in the war against the terrorists and just yesterday, Buzznigeria learned that one of Army fighter jets had carried out an attack on a location where some injured top leaders of Boko Haram were hiding inside Borno.

According spokesman for the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, Ayodele Famuyiwa, the air raid was effected following intelligence that revealed that some of the Boko Haram commanders had fled to take refuge and medical care at secret camp called Tumbun Rego.

However, NAF is yet to ascertain the casualty figure, but they released a video of the post-strike Battle Damage Assessment mission which showed that the degree of damage achieved was devastating as the buildings were engulfed by large fire. Hence Irabor said, “fight against Boko Haram continues until when Boko Haram drop their arms or when we are able to crush them. It can be tomorrow or in the next 20 years. Terrorism war can last 50 years.”

NAF Prepares To Counter Terrorists At Airports, Device Plans

In its quest to curb possibilities of terrorist attacks at Nigerian airports, the Nigerian Airforce has staged various Counter terrorism simulation trainings inside the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The training involved Special Forces including Bomb disposal experts and the Regiment force with a Super Puma military Helicopter dropping airborne snipers from the air.

Speaking to Journalists, the Chief of AOR Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar disclosed that the exercise conducted in coalition with the Army, Navy, NSA office, NEMA among others, was a pro-active measure aimed at preparing special forces of the NAF for anyterrorist attacks on the nation’s airport in the future.

“This exercise is very significant because the regiment forces, quick response forces, are participating in this exercise. They were trained by the Nigeria Air Force using taxpayers money.

“What we want is to have a force that is actually going to be effective in the event of any problem in our airports. You can have all the training, you can have all the skills. Unless you are tested from time to time, you will not be able to know whether there will be gaps.

The chief informed that the essence of the exercise was to bridge all security gaps at the country’s airports, with the cooperation of other security agencies. He added that security measures must be evaluated from time to time to know whether there will be problems in real situations.

Abubakar extended appreciation to Airport authorities, all the government agencies including immigration, customs, FAAN who participated in the course.

He also said the exercise is expected to cover other Nigerian airports;Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano etc. from where special forces would be deployed to all parts of the country.

“We are not anticipating anything of such,” he said. This is just an exercise, it is very important that you evaluate your plan from time to time. Or else you might have some gaps in what you have put together. So this is not done because we are anticipating anything or any attack on our airports, no. If you have to do any without anticipating, then, it would be too late.”

Arsene Wenger's feud with Jose Mourinho continues as Arsenal boss refuses to let Mourinho sit next to him at conference

Seems like Arsene Wenger's feud with Jose Mourinho won't end anytime soon as the Arsenal manager refused letting Man U coach Jose Mourinho sit next to him at A UEFA coaching conference overseen by Sir Alex Ferguson during the just concluded FIFA international break.

According to MARCA.com, Jose Mourinho arrived late for the conference  and saw an available seat opposite Paris Saint-Germain manager, Unai Emery and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane which was next to Wenger.

Mourinho then asked Wenger if he could occupy the space, to which Wenger replied without batting an eyelid: 'No, it isn't possible.'

Wenger reportedly 'won' the exchange, with other managers in the room laughing at his response to Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho and Wenger have had a long term feud between each other with Mourinho labeling Wenger a 'specialist in failure'after Wenger criticized his style of play and in October 2014, Wenger shoved Mourinho during a high-tempered contest at Stamford Bridge.
